It's a boy! Parents of a five-year-old gender nuetral child have finally revealed after five years that the child name Sasha is a boy. Beck Laxton and his co-parenter Kieran Cooper had to reveal the sex of the child because of school.

What right do parents have to deny a child so basic a identifying need as their sex. To force a child to be sexless is in my mind criminal. If the child decides to be sexless, or genderless for themselves, that is one thing, but a child is not a possession.

These people are screwy. Maybe if the couple bothered with something as mundane as marriage they might feel differently. These two are obviously strange, and that's fine, but to force such limitless sexuality on a small child is just criminal.

This is against the laws of God and nature. For goodness sake, even my electrical outlet and plug have a sex. The flowers have sex, and yes, people have sex. Get out of here!

what right does one have to say who to believe in the God or not,, so that rule of nature is out,, who has the right to tell folks what to be or not to be,, gee you can have Gays yet you can not have just a person who will identify him/her self at thier own time..
here a thought for you,, then why does folk neuterd or spay animals,.,, take away thier sexuall identy,, I have three dogs,, only one is a sexed dog the other or non sex,,,

I spay or nueter my dog because they are animals and would overpopulate the world. Human beings are self worthy. Give this child a chance to be who or what he wants to be, not what his money grubbing parents want.

yet we have the right to teach our children what we feel is good or bad,, just because you say it bad make it bad?? And what money did these parents get for keeping this child the way they wanted,, did someone or something pay for that. if it $$ you think they you should not claim your child in taxes,, that money grubbing also is it not.. you are getting money for raising that child,, what ever sex that child is.

To each his or her own, but this child is not private propery and deserves his own identity. This is shameful, selfish, and exploitive behavior on the part of the parents.

I agree except I don't think blaming this on liberalism reveals the root of the problem. From what I have seen in my 56 years is that moral decay is occurring equally within the conservative and liberal movements. You can exhibit a high, or low, sense of morality from either side and both have left the traditional values taught by practically every religion in the world. I would tend to place the blame on the ones who have moved us away from these values.

I think the couple did this to get attention. They claim no interference but what if the kid wanted to wear some of the clothes they placed limits on. I think there is just a hidden anger against males as is displayed in their prohibited attire. I feel sorry for the kid and wonder if this is a good example why there should be a mother and a father in every family.

This kid is going to be a weirdo and probably picked on in school. So sad this ignorant couple would do this to a child. All we need are parents who do not provide their children with basic guidance on their role in life.

That's what I think. I think they used that kid to get a reality show, but what they need is a reality check from children protective services.

I don't see the point, really. We are either female or male, so, why make it complicated. If he is a boy, then, he is a boy. Yes, there are occasions where people are born with both sex organs, but, doctors use other tests to determine the sex of individuals.

We tell our kids they can be anything they want to be, but as they grow up, we unintentionally compartmentalize the roles our children play based on a child's gender. It does raise questions on the limitations that we may be imposing, but I don't agree that the knowledge should have been withheld from the child. It's like using a child for a bizarre science experiment without knowledge of how this may impact the child not only psychologically but socially as well.

I could never understand gender reassignment until a child I was closely related to was born with cloaca l ex trophy. A very rare birth defect that results in multiple defects. These young parents were devastated to learn they must have reasignment done on what should have been a perfect baby boy. I can understand why God allowed this procedure to be learned. For those who have no choices Thank God..For those who were Male or Female with the right Chromosomes be happy.
