Mother's Day Is Fast Approaching

I just realized that Mothers Day is in only one week away!

For my boyfriend's mom, this year all the "older kids" when in on an outdoor furniture set for her that she really wanted. That, and we actually celebrated her Mothers Day this past Tuesday. So that's one mom done!

Next is my mom. My parents however live about 3 hours away, so I will probably just send a card up to her for Mothers Day for now. Her birthday was actually this past Friday, and since Mothers Day is only 2 weeks afterward, my boyfriend and I actually are planning on driving up and spending the weekend with them the weekend after Mothers Day, so I'm just going to give her both her birthday and Mothers Day gift when we go up and see them. I still have no clue what I'm going to get her at this point....for her birthday present or Mothers Day! So I'll let you guys know what happens with that!

I've actually head, sadly, that a lot of people are not celebrating the "little holidays" as much this year, because of money issues or whatever. In my opinion, just sending a little $2 card is a great thing to do, just to show Mom you care...and remembered!

But hey, who am I to tell other people what to do, right?
