After last week’s fireworks and model meltdowns this week was pretty sedate. The models were sent on this cycle’s go sees, but instead of the go sees taking place in the foreign city of which they end up visiting, the go sees happened in L.A., thus giving Los Angeles native Alexandria an advantage over the others…whatever. It was no surprise that she won and like last time, she won something big which included leather accessories and purses from Lana Marks.
Â
The only thing that really distinguished this go see competition from the numerous others was that all the girls made it back in time – Alexandria actually arriving thirty seconds before hand. If I could give some advice to the producers for next season, if there is a next season because ratings for this cycle have been down, is that they do something different for the go see segment. No one who has ever been lost in a strange city finds it amusing to be lost in a strange city with an arranged meeting scheduled but no way to gage how to get there nor how long it will take to get there. The fact that this task is repeated time and time again on ‘Top Model’ seems ludicrous because there are too many variables that aren’t under the control of the young women – traffic, other models auditioning at the same location, the world at large. It remains a constant that these women, except for the before mentioned exception of Alexandria, are in an unfamiliar city often being thrown maps, which in some episodes weren’t even printed in English. This is the sort of thing that is never okay no matter what business you find yourself in. Frankly it is pretty acceptable for people to be late to appointments when they don’t know where they are going – not hours late mind you, but minutes yes. The circumstance that there is some sort of lesson about being on time just doesn’t quite work when you give models impossible tasks. Even L.A. native Alexandria couldn’t make all of the appointments and she knew where the places were located. It is an ‘Amazing Race’ stunt that really has no room in ‘America’s Next Top Model’ if Tyra and company want their show to be taken seriously.Â
Â
The main assignment this week was high modeling posing in fancy editorial like dresses out in a landfill. Kudos to Nigel Barker for finally creating photos of which I was impressed. Despite the smell and so many birds that Avian Flu looked like a certainty, Barker and the girls created some of the most memorable photos of this cycle, if not the history of the show.Â
Â
Molly certainly isn’t afraid to let her bitch flag fly. If it wasn’t for Alexandria she probably would be seen more of a complainer, but since Alexandria has been the go to model to hate in the house Molly’s complaining has basically gone unnoticed. However this week she seemed to be her own worst enemy. She so desperately wants to win a challenge that she loses a challenge she could have easily won because in her off moments she sits like a teenager who has been told that they have a ten o’clock curfew thus paving the way for Alexandria to take the prize at Lana Marks. Later when she was posing for Barker she complained about the seagulls which left Barker with a bad taste in his mouth even though it was Mr. Jay who got pooped on.Â
Â
Molly’s attitude landed her in the bottom two although she was one of the top for the go sees. However she wasn’t sent packing.

Â
Brittani was able to revive her reputation a bit with the judges. She apologized to Alexandria and later Barker went up to her while she was in makeup and told her that he didn’t want their last experience together to determine how they were going to work together this time around. I thought it was a nice gesture for Barker. BTW, in the new ‘Arthur’ movie there is a scene featuring Barker taking engagement pictures. Brittani impressed Barker with her plucky behavior since she was willing to crawl around in the trash. She was afraid that after her poor showing in the go sees, neither she nor Jaclyn booked as many jobs as their blonde competitors did, she was afraid that this would automatically put her in the bottom. Although I didn’t think her photo was as interesting as some of those she had done before, she was safe.Â
Â
Hannah is starting to sink in the competition for me. She was the only blond who wasn’t a finalist in the go sees.Â

Â
I don’t know how Alexandria is able to charm the right people but charm she does and she ended up not only winning the go see challenge but also the landfill elimination challenge as well which means that she will be packing her bags to Morocco – Morocco being the place the girls are traveling too. Since it isn’t a fashion capital I bet the girls will be staying in some pretty swank digs.  Â

Â
Jaclyn who I was counting on to redeem this cycle from the complete
and utter hum drums was sent packing. As I sit typing this at my local Starbucks all I can think is that Jaclyn is sweeter than the berry flavored coffee cake that I just snacked on. Granted, this wasn’t her best week, but my God she won last week! I like Molly but between her or Jaclyn I would send Molly-pies back to whatever crevice of the world she springs from.Â
Â
Kasia did fine. I really wish she had won the go see challenge because she at least doesn’t seem to be faking the sweetness.Â

Yeah, but Brittani & Jaclyn only made it to 2 go-sees~and wasn't she eliminated in this episode? Plus, I see you like Kasia~she should've gone a long time ago.
