As some of you may, or may not know, Justin and I have been in the process of buying a house!
Well, this past week, we found the PERFECT house :-)
We saw it listed on Monday and immediately contacted our real estate agent; seeing as some of the past properties didn't work out since others beat us to it.....
She scheduled a showing that Wednesday. When we got there, we fell in love with the property almost instantly. It's a cute little blue house, on .46 acres (which is perfect running space for Riley!) It is 3 bed's and 1.5 baths. Completely remodeled. Comes with all the necessary appliances (nice ones too!) Has lake access! But, best of all....NO UP STAIRS NEIGHBORS jumping on the ceiling! And it would be our very own space!
The house is listed at $59,900 and is in a tiny town called Linden; about 20 minutes from where we live now.
We made an offer of $59,000 and seller pays all closing costs, and our offer was accepted Friday afternoon!
We are so excited. We are probably driving out tonight to show it to Troy (Justin's cousin, and a very good friend of mine) and we're going to try and find the lake, too.
But anyways, we love this house so much. It is so perfect, and we could not be happier with it. Now, we just need to wait on the papers to be drawn up and hopefully we will be moving in end of May, or at least moving our things little by little, seeing as our lease isn't up until end of June. So we will be paying a mortgage payment and rent payment in June, but we can handle it.
I just thought I'd share the good news with all of you :-)

Be wise and have a house inspection... better you know what you're getting first and have the opportunity to get them to fix things too! It's worth the money you spend... some repairs can cost thousands... and many people don't realize it when there are issues with a house.
Although, it has already been FHA approved, so we're not expecting to find anything, since an inspection was done only 2 weeks ago and nothing was wrong.
Linden is a nice little town :)
And yes, I'm finding Linden to be very cute actually. Good "family" town :-)
Are you near Linden? Or know family or friends that way?
We didn't even try to reduce the price of this one ($69,900)--but they did pay all closing costs and a few other things up to $3500.
Sounds like you got a great deal too!
congrats to you and Justin.
We are so excited...and crossing our fingers that everything works out!
