Real Style Network is pleased to present the three time winner of Canadian Designer of the Year, Joeffer Caoc, to our Designer Picks Q & A series. Joeffer’s signature style of architectural detailing and classic tailoring is an editorial and celeb favourite, with Jeanne Beker, Coco Rocha, and Jill Hennessey among some of the leading style mavens to be snapped in his designs. Joeffer’s intricate use of drapery, pleating and gathering is particularly in line with this season’s return to classic ladylike influence. Here, Joeffer Caoc shares with us his designer picks for fall: sexy 40’s influence and layering textures. Read on:
RSN: What are the hottest fashion trends for fall and winter 2010/2011?
JC: This season is all about a return to “real clothing” which is sexy and feminine. No gimmicks but instead real investment pieces. In my collection that can be seen by the classic 40’s-inspired silhouettes.
RSN: What are the new essential wardrobe pieces all women should have in their fall 2010 wardrobe and why?
JC: Every woman needs an updated suit … you always need to be able to look fashionably pulled together and polished.
RSN: What are the best new accessories for the upcoming season and why?
JC: The hottest accessory to have is a platinum gold credit card — these investment pieces are pricey, but worth it!
RSN: Any other fashion and style tips you may want to tell readers….
JC: Don’t be afraid to mix and match different textures. Layered texture gives a chance to show individual style and flare!
