For the past 13 years, the Super Saturday event has raised funds for Ovarian Cancer Research. Last July 31, celebrities flocked to East Hampton to participate in what was essentially a very posh garage sale. Louis Vuitton and Stella McCartney were only a few of the labels who sold their wares at deep discounts.
Breezy sundresses and maxi dresses were the outfit of choice, as shown by Michelle Trachtenberg. She announced her arrival in a multicolored print dress by Rebecca Taylor. The, “Island Hopper,†number had skinny halter straps, a ruffled neckline and smocking on the waist. Michelle paired her dress with olive green wedges and an aqua clutch. Her high ponytail, white framed sunglasses and big earrings all screamed, “it’s summer, summer, summer!â€
Going for a more dressy attire was Kim Kardashian. Her white, cowl necked Helmut Lang top paired with a draped, bubble skirt in orange certainly gave a pop color. Also popping was a tight, wide nude belt around her waist. She wore Christian Louboutin leopard print peep toe pumps for her afternoon outdoors.
Ashley Greene, “Twilight’s†Alice was out in the sun in Pure DKNY. Her white, shoulder-tie dress with a ruffled hem kept her fresh and cool. She wore gold accessories, a skinny tan belt and brown wedges. The actress co-hosted Super Saturday with Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan.
Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis of Harper's Bazaar founded Super Saturday in 1998.
