Paula Creamer won the US Women's Open this past Sunday, overcoming recent thumb surgery this past March to come out four strokes ahead of competitors Na Yeon Choi and Suzann Pettersen. The prize for winning the US Women's Open? $585,000.
What would you do with $585,000? Well, Creamer is stoked with her winnings (obviously), and her plans include crazy awesome things like skydiving and a stylish Birkin bag.
Turns out being an athlete doesn't mean one isn't a stylish lady! In her New York Times interview, she says, “It’s like a really crazy bag. The waiting list is like years.â€
The Birkin bag is "named after the British actress Jane Birkin, [has] a waiting list of up to two years and cost anywhere from $9,000 to roughly $34,000 for a crocodile skin bag."
Not only is Creamer talented on the golf course, but she has amazing taste in fashion!
