Angelina Jolie New Tattoo for Brad: On Inner Thigh

Angelina Jolie’s new movie Salt will premiere in theaters on July 23, 2010. To promote the new movie, Angelina has chosen to tattoo her inner thigh, and says the tattoo is “for Brad,” according to her interview this week with MTV in Washington, D.C. Jolie is well known for her addiction to ink and tattooing markings on her body to symbolize her children, but her latest tattoo is now located on her inner thigh and appears to be a tattoo that Angelina Jolie will only show to Brad. Although Jolie would not indicate the meaning of the tattoo on her thigh, she does have several other tattoos on her body (pictured below) which we do know the meanings of.

The photo above is a tattoo on Angelina's lower back, tattooed in Bangkok and said to bring luck.

The tattoo in the photo above means "Strength of Will," which Angelina got for ex husband Billy Bob Thornton.

The tattoo on Angelina's left shoulder blade is for son, Maddox, and reads: 

"May your enemies run far away from you.
If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always.
Your beauty will be that of Apsara. (a celestial dancer in Khmer mythology)
Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides."

Angelina also has the numerical XII (number 13) tattooed on her to indicate she is not superstitious. On the back of her neck she has tattooed "know your rights." Additionally, she tattooed the letter "h" on her fore arm to symbolize former boyfriend Timothy Hutton and brother, James Haven. Finally, Angelina has a pair of tribal symbols whose meanings are unknown and a cross with Latin phrase "Quod me nutrit me destruit" meaning "What nourishes me, destroys me." Wow! She has so many tattoos on her body and replacement tattoos that it is hard to keep up with the meanings of all of them! I'm sure she didn't feel the slightest bit uncomfortable getting a tattoo to symbolize her current relationship with husband, Brad Pitt, although many tattoo enthusiasts would agree it is never a good idea to get a permanent tattoo to symbolize a lover. What happens when if the relationship ends? Angelina has more than three men represented on her body now.

Is getting a tattoo on her inner thigh a good idea for publicity for Angelina's new movie Salt? Or is the tattoo a bad idea considering the amount of personal information she is revealing to the public to get the publicity?
