Taylor Lautner Announces College Plans on David Letterman! (Video)

Taylor Lautner, star of The Twilight Saga and also known as Jacob Black, the hunky werewolf from the popular movie and books written by Stephanie Meyer, announces on The David Letterman Show that he promises to go to college once finishing with the series! Lautner did graduate from high school, and in fact, he was enrolled in his local community college where he completed ten credits towards his degree. According to Lautner in his interview video, he felt that since he was working, it was ok to put college on hold for a few years. Very funny Jacob! I think what he really meant was, since the Twilight movie series was providing him with a multi-million dollar paycheck, the opportunity-costs associated with not finishing college did not outweigh the paycheck! 

In the interview with David Letterman, Taylor Lautner seems very down to earth and serious about his promise to David Letterman to go back to college. The catch is: Lautner only promises to go back to college if he is not working! Working in this case obviously means in the entertainment industry, on screen. I’m not really sure what else he would plan to do after Twilight other than entertainment that would require him to return to school to pursue a college degree… to me it seems like he is pretty well set in his career. But good for him for committing to college and a better education were it not for his success in movies!
