Will "The Bachelorette" Ali Fedowtowsky Rekindle Romance with Jake Pavelka?? Would You?

I'm with you, I would stay clear of Jake, too. My oh my, The Bachelor and Bachelorette sure does have a lot of drama, but I guess that's what keeps people watching. Monday's episode sure will be interesting to watch, hey, they almost all are! And I could tell that Jake and Vienne weren't going to last long... thanks for sharing!

Heck, no. Why would we compound a train wreck with a plane crash? Full disclosure: I have not watched "The Bachelorette" since Season 1 with Trista. Was not impressed with this season's Bachelor and was frankly disappointed that they selected Ali to be the Bachelorette. I was rooting for Tenley, but she was far too classy for Jake or these proceedings and he did her a huge favor by not choosing her. Ditto the Bachelorette producers. On the hometown dates episode of Jake's show, Ali seemed to have a good head on her shoulders and a good rapport with Jake. But she lost any respect I had for her during her subsequent 'meltdown' and exit from the show. Ali wants a show business career, just like Jake and Vienna do. So as it got down to the final four of them and there was a good chance that it would be her pitted against Vienna at the end. Ali's dilemma therefore was that she would either be rejected on national television in favor of a girl she hated, or that Jake would actually pick her. I don't care what the producers want us to believe, but there was no true love on either side there. Ali was competing for a prize and at the 11th hour decided the prize wasn't worth having. So they offered her the Bachelorette on the condition that she would stage a few dramatic tearful scenes of manufactured anguish, and she jumped at it. Given a choice between fawning over Jake and being fawned over by 25 guys as the star of my own series, I would've gone the same route. Jake aspires to an acting career and does not come across as sincere. I think every move is calculated. If he were a better actor, maybe the level of his deception wouldn't be so obvious, but I find him exceptionally plastic and smarmy. Also have no empirical proof, but my woman's intuition tells me that maybe Jake is not really into girls, but is willing to pose as a stud in order to be on TV. The implosion of his "relationship" with the perpetually available Vienna would seem to lend credence to this feeling. Ali's on the cover of People this week; looks like some major dirt happening, but I didn't read the article. I'm sure I'll hear about it in the Net in the aftermath of the finale. That is a very gorgeous dress, though.
