Teenage heartthrob Chace Crawford was arrested today for possession of marijuana in Plano Texas. According to TMZ, he was arrested just after midnight this morning for “possession of marijuana under 2 ounces…a misdemeanor, which carries a 6 month maximum sentence.”
Chace Crawford is best known as Nate Archibald, one of three main boys in the Gossip Girl series…and possibly the most adored of the male cast by our teenage girls. In Gossip Girl, Nate is alternatively a bad boy and a sweet boy, switching from love interests that include cougars, scholars, and bad girls. Nate is, presumably, the boy that parents would love to have their daughters date…or hate.
Will this arrest have a negative impact on Chace and his adoring throng of fans? Perhaps. Perhaps parents will frown at the obvious indiscretion, and girls will take their comments to heart. Or perhaps not. For our teenage girls, this might just serve to prove that Chace is just like his character Nate – a gorgeous boy that is a little bad, a little good, and all heartthrob.
